That's excellent news, glad something is working well for you after such dreadful experiences. Long may it continue.

Hi all.. just want to update you... the taper is going ok, I have my good days and not so good. I'm staying at 3mg of Suboxone now and gonna take it real slow. I have my first appointment with my new PMD this week who is supervising my taper. My pain levels are a little higher since my doses have decreased, but I'm managing that part pretty well.. some connective tissue work, ice... and I am going to go back to PT for more connective tissue work cuz it does help with my pain. I'm curious to know if others have had issues with opiate tolerance, and how they have decided to approach it? I don't think we've ever talked about it much on this site and just wondering. This is going to be a very long journey- so would love the support.

Well.. a quick update today. I saw my pain dr. and we are thinking of starting me on nortryptiline right now. When I see my PMD, who is supervising the taper, I'll decide. She said that with the opiates... it's a real bell curve in terms of how one develops tolerance. She also said that in my case.. with the low doses it was rather a surprise as she has seen people on real high doses taper effortlessly. I guess it's all in the DNA. Who knew ? But.. today was a good day.
