I think we should stay with the 'Drowning in Pain'.
Honestly, to depict a human being in pain AND drowning? How much more macabre can we get? Please don't forget that this website is for current members as well as those that we are purportedly trying to "attract" with macabre eye-catching images. To have to face a picture of a drowning person howling in pain every time I open this webpage would really be too much for me.

Yes, the stickman is tacky. The wave and Life Preserver is great!

Sorry Violet, I love the drowning in pain, and HOPE life saving ring especially. What about an arm reaching out of the water, then it could be more unisex too ? ?
Take care,
Helen

I am sorry Lernica, I didn't mean to cause any upset. And I certainly didn't intend anything macabre. :? I just meant that he looks almost cheerful, he doesn't look unhappy, nor does he look as if he were drowning. I am really sorry. It was just a suggestion, and I didn't phrase it very well.

Now that's a good idea.

You know, if the drowning picture makes even one person upset I think it has to go. I'm sure we can come up with something everyone is happy with. We will just have to keep working on it.

Love the new picture on the home page. Nice quote from Christopher Reeve, too. Thanks, Mods!

That's a really, really good quote.

And it still links with our lifebelt logo thingie, because it is the sea. And I like the picture, too.
