AL456,
I'm so sorry about everything you've been through. I'm glad you found a doctor who is knowledgeable about this and able to give you a referral. What kind of clinic did the doctor send you to?

Thank you.
Ah the referral was a dud. It was to a urologist who really didn’t know. They knew nothing about this condition at all. At the moment I’m stuck with Pelvic floor physio. And the sensation hasn’t returned at all at 3.5 months. There’s a lot to be learnt in regards to this nerve.

You may have already seen the list of pudendal neuralgia doctors in Australia.

Here is another I heard of recently
https://drjchow.com.au/ Looks like he treats both men and women.

Thanks Violet.
I had already got a referral in to Jason Chow.
I’m not sure if he does surgery to release the nerve if there is an issue (given the numbness has not improved at all 4 months in), but I’ll be sure to discuss it with him. It did say he does robotic surgery but I’m unsure as to what that offers. I’m on a 6 month waiting list to see him unfortunately. I also may be flying interstate to have my sacral nerves tested by the only neurologist in Australia I’m told that does this testing. I have been going ahead with pelvic floor physio but it doesn’t seem to be doing much, and It appears as those the trauma may have caused bigger damage than what was initially hoped. Alternatively, my only other option will be to seek overseas opinions from PN surgeons.
Thanks.

Wow, it's such a long wait for an appointment. It can be agony having to wait that long. It sounds like you have done your research and you are on the right track. Wishing you success.
