My PT has now confirmed she has never seen this happen to anyone she’s seen get the surgery.

I can't blame you for being pessimistic. I was scared after surgery.
It is not unusual for months 3 and 4 to be the worst part of recovery as the nerve is waking up. So please hang in there and don't give up hope completely. You've had this for 7 years so it's not going to go away quickly. I wasn't able to resume walking outdoors until 5 months post-op - and then I started out at 5 minutes a day. And I was in too much pain to even think about PT until almost a year after surgery. There is still hope for you, brother.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

Hi Sight,
Yes, I had the same experience as Violet. It took a long time to see the full benefits of surgery. Nerves can take a very long time (years) to recover.
Take care,
April
