You've been caught using a doorknob?! Oh, that's funny. I've often wanted to try it, but I've been too scared that someone would walk in on me. I just keep a tennis ball in my purse. Your story just might give me the courage to try a doorknob!

Madjugar,

You have a PT who doesn't seem to know much about the pelvic floor and PN especially. A PT who just gets you to do kegals because you have pelvic pain is very green in my opinion. Kegals are meant for weak pelvic floor muscles, which you very well might have given how long you've had this. But, you need to be having someone addressing your PN pain (not a PT), like figuring out if you have PN (pudendal neuralgia). You can't just go to your doctor's office on the street corner to be diagnosed for PN. While a few really good PTs can spot PN when they see it, it might be best to check into the PN specialists that exist in the U.S., and there aren't a whole lot of them.

If you can give us an idea where you live we/I can possibly come up with someone near(er) to you. It may very well involve injections to the ischial spine (guided) to diagnose you or perhaps someone who is very good at the anatomy of the PN who can press where it is and see if it produces your pain.
