Calluna

What kind of liquid diet did you follow? Soups and juices? I am struggling lately from a bout of IBS and am trying to come off Immodium and other meds but struggle when I introduce any solid foods...maybe I need to go more liquid?

Well, basically I just lost my appetite completely and I had no choice about it, the very thought of anything resembling food was enough to make me feel nauseated. I was having weak black tea with no milk, plus water. I couldn't face fruit juice. Some days I was able to cope with a cup of soup, or a little cup of jelly - I think you call it jello? - which was the closest I came to solid food for about a week. Some days a little portion of probiotic yogurt.

I don't recommend it. I am still struggling to eat at the moment, the appetite comes and goes as does the fever and pain.

I do hope your IBS improves.

I did a 19 day water fast to see if things would get better. It did not short term or long term. Coming off the fast was a struggle concerning BM.
WOW. How did you DO that! The longest I've fasted is one day! Did you have any calories????? Oh my, the only person I know to have fasted that long is Jesus who fasted for 40 days! Are you a saint or what? lol

Thanks for asking Calluna yes my IBS is easing now after some gentle food and plenty of fluids mainly water.

i notice that if I drink lots of water and soup for lunch the digestion system is much more tolerant....the only problem is that Im still hungry!!!

Maybe if we all went on all liquid diets we could cure ourselves???? Prob not, but wishful thinking.
You sound just like me! When I have diarrhea for whatever reason, I have no PN pain. I have always assumed it's because having an empty intestine takes some pressure off my damaged pudendal nerve. Just my theory...

Another oddity I've noticed is that my pain lessens when I have a really full stomach. Seems contradictory to my empty bowel theory, but it is what it is...
