I'm just ranting. I'm so tired of trying to work through PN. I'm raising my desk up and down and up and down and trying to sit on the IC cushion which has just flattened (I bought the 3 inch firm one, and it's still flattening and I'm a lightweight). It's so hard not really liking your job anyway, and then dreading it even more because - face it - if you have a desk job - you do end up sitting - it's unavoidable.
I think I just need a really stiff drink.
I feel like a darn jack in the box

Hi Scaredgal,
Rant all you like and then go pour yourself a drink. It's so hard to work at a desk with this condition. My hat's off to you.

Athlete until pain started in 2001. Diagnosed with PN in Nov. 2010. Probable cause: 3 difficult labors, 5 pelvic surgeries for endometriosis, and undiagnosed hip injuries. 60% better after 3 rounds of shockwave therapy in Cornwall, Ontario (Dec - Feb/12). 99% better after bilateral hip scopes for FAI and labral tears (April and July/12). Pelvic pain life coach Lorraine Faendrich helped me overcome the mind/body connection to chronic pain: http://www.radiantlifedesign.com

I'm so sorry. I did get a giggle out of your image--I have so felt like that! Up and down, up and down.
I'm a teacher, and even I end up sitting to input grades, answer emails, or just to rest my feet or back. I feel for you that you don't like your job. I can only imagine trying to power through the PN while at a job you dislike.
Drink up! (If your meds allow...I'm not on any so I'll drink for you )

I think I'll join you for a drink!! I too work a desk job. The blessing for me is our Facilities guys report to our office so they were very kind and worked with me to build me a couple of different boxes. One my computer sits on on top of a computer stand and the other I can place on top of my desk for a work station and then slide it underneath when not in use. I truly stand ALL day. Even through meetings. Most of our staff is used to me by now. I just need to find a couch for a mid day nap.
Sigh exhausting, but I'm still making it through the work day. And looking forward to sharing a drink with the pals on these boards.

Have been dealing with burning pain since Jan 2010.
No sitting since April 2010.
Seen the following dr's: DO, GYN, Dermatologist, Accupuncturist,
URO GYN (his RN is the one who suggested the pain could be PN), Neurologist
Had ECG and MRI both inconclusive, only the SSEP said Pudendal reaction was abnormal and they lost that test result.
Saw Dr. Castellanos April 6, 2011. Next steps, MRI and botox. Having PT while waiting.-Botox denied, appealing to Insurance company now.
