That is what it actually said... No way could I make that stuff up. I may have mispelled a few words... I will be seeing him tomorrow so we will ask some questions...
Surgery Jan.05 2011 TG with Dr Antalok. Dr.Chambi May of 2012 showed injury from a fall on back, 11 years ago. My piriformis muscle caused a large amount of fibrosis .My sciatic nerve was growing through the piriformis muscle which caused a bifid p.muscle. . Dr Chambi decompressed the sciatic, pudendal, pfcn ,and peroneal nerves. I hope to have a nuerostimulator put in to help with the sciatic pain that never goes away. Most days are better with the pudendal if I do not sit at all.

No, Ellie - never occurred to me that you would make that stuff up! :) I was just surprised at the lack of conviction in the report: probably, possibly, what appears to be, ect ...
I wish you the very best with your follow-up!
Hugs,
Karyn

Oh no Karen, I copied it word for word, May have misspelled a few words in the process... I went out to lunch yesterday and sat for 35 min. before I felt I should get up.. It was a bit toublesome after , but I went home and put ice on and I was fine.... I really do believe good things are happening. I just want some of those shocks but then I may never get them. I sure do wish I understood all of this like you do.... I have some homework to do here.. :D Have a great day my dear.... Ellie

Ellie,

So glad to hear you are able to go out to lunch but please do be careful with the sitting! My surgeon said no more than 15 minutes for the first month and I have heard it is longer for bilaterals. Best wishes to you for continued recovery!

Karyn,

I believe that a surgeon says, "possible, probably" because they can't actually see where the nerve comes from...it's actual source. They can only see that it's a nerve in a place that it usually isn't.

feeling nauseaus and chills after surgery

Post by river133 »

Is it normal to be feeling so nauseaus , diahreah , chills after surgery... First I thought maybe it was from the fetnayl.. I take 75mg. on the last day of the patch I start feeling icky... I put a new one on this am 7 hours ago and still feel crappy... I will be happy to hear if it is just from the surgery.... I had stopped gabapentine slowly before surgery, thinking it wasn't doing any good , but that was 6 weeks ago since I have had one......I started taking a small does again and am starting to work up to more after a while.... nothing else has changed.... my numbers were good when I went in for a follow up with dr. A. he said all of my numbers were down.. I wasn't feeling so ishy then so I didn't mention it to him... I need all of the help I can get.. Ellie

Ellie, there are lots of flu and viruses going around right now; I just had one that lasted for a couple of days. I hope you feel better very soon, though.
PNE as a result of childbirth, 2002. Treatment by the Houston team, with neurosurgery by Dr. Ansell in 2004. My left side ST and SS ligaments were found to be grown together, encasing the pudendal nerve.

I am cured. I hope you will be, too.

There are no medical answers on the forum. Your only hope is to go to a doctor. I was very happy with the Houston team, which has treated the most PNE patients (well over 400), more than any other US provider.
