Whole body Vibration Platforms- any good?

Post by steve526 »

Has anyone tried using Whole Body Vibration machines (WBV)?
They are the vibrating platforms that you stand on.
Currently they are being marketed as a weight loss devices but it seems to me that they may be a good way to improve circulation and massage for the pelvic floor muscles. Then again I could imagine it might make things worse.
Any experience with this ??

Never heard of this as a treatment for PN but I am definitely not interested in trying it. Riding in a vibrating car or standing on a public transit bus is enough torture for me.

Athlete until pain started in 2001. Diagnosed with PN in Nov. 2010. Probable cause: 3 difficult labors, 5 pelvic surgeries for endometriosis, and undiagnosed hip injuries. 60% better after 3 rounds of shockwave therapy in Cornwall, Ontario (Dec - Feb/12). 99% better after bilateral hip scopes for FAI and labral tears (April and July/12). These interviews are very interesting.
Guy says there is an anti inflammatory effect.
