Re: Recommendations
My first email to Bollens was in July, it going to be November next week, nearly four months and still nothing about the video consultation. He will respond back when he likes but maybe one month later. I have asked him through email that in case the entrapment is by the falciform process of the sacrotuberous ligament, whether the laparoscopic approach could remove it, he didn’t answer my question and just said that the goal of the surgery is to release the nerve between the two ligaments, and mentioned that if the surgery failed then the entrapment should be caused by the piriformis, and suggested me to join the video consultation, he just bet on people having PNE between the two ligaments. For my limited knowledge, I am not sure if he really can diagnose a person who really have PNE or not by just having the video consultation, he rely on the history and the nerve block that the patient has done by other physicians, but in the real world there are only around 80% of the nerve blocks were correctly injected to the target. I think it would be more reliable to have a face to face consultation with him and to have the nerve block done by who is going to operate the surgery. This is just my opinion it doesn’t mean it will be appropriate for others, everyone is different.

Re: Recommendations
I underwent surgery with Dr. Renaud Bollens in April 2024 for issues related to my pudendal nerve, and I have nothing but praise for him and his team. Thanks to them, I can now live a normal life—weightlifting, playing with my children, sitting without pain, and even having intercourse again. While I understand that others may have had different experiences when trying to contact Dr. Bollens, my own experience has been exceptional. I cannot recommend him highly enough, he has truly saved my life and I will be forever grateful to him.
From the initial contact to the post-op care, everything went smoothly and without complications. I initially reached out to him via www.pudendalsurgery.com and received immediate assistance. I hope this can offer hope and guidance to others facing similar challenges, we all deserve to live a life without pain.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
Re: Recommendations
To be fair to Dr Bollens, I would like to update my post. Dr Bollens finally offered me the video consultation, he was overflowed and so caused some problems with the appointments. However, I would like to say that he is very experienced in pudendal nerve entrapment and I believe that he is the most experienced surgeon in doing the minimal invasive PN decompression surgery.
