Publication by Dr. Beco

Post by Violet M »

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

A quote from the article:

"the surgeon has close-up visual control of each decompression steps, demonstrates the different levels of entrapment, and cuts the sacrospinous ligament under visual control."

Sounds like just the sacrospinous ligament is cut. Seems less invasive since the SS ligament is smaller than the ST ligament, and the surgeon isn't cutting through the gluteus muscle. The surgeon uses a scope which would make it less invasive.
