Summer i have Pgad , rectal pressure , urinary symptoms .Rectal prolapse surgery with absorbable mesh ( not sure is absorbed in many case she was not absorbed ).Pituitary apoplexy that destroyed me i have diabet insipidus with no treatment i pee 12 liters per day , i take cortizol and eutirox daily or i die.....So i know how you feel and i am near you and hope you , me and all will be better.We deserve more but we must fight and in the hardest moments when i will not lie i wanted to suicide i think i must live for my wife , mother , friends etc and also medicine is evolving so maybe we will get better.In your case , my case neuromodulators could also work.Don t lose hope and message when you want .Also people like Violet , April are angels and many others that i forgot to mention.Again sry for wrong sentences and bad writting i am in airport atm and not feeling to good

I talk with Eveline about it.btw she knows you a Pgad hidden group admin there is no study they just colected old datas from patients so imo is only a article for more information not more.the genital blocks effect amazed me i will ask Hibner about this also and will share.

Do you live in Usa ?

Yes, because of Zoloft and other antidepressants of the SSRI family, some people have had Pgad after stopping treatment!
Sometimes it happens while the antidepressant is being taken. These drugs cause hormonal imbalance and can trigger Pgad.
Do you still have Pgad? Or do you only experience it occasionally ?

Have you had an MRI of the spinal column ? And a Pelvic MRI to see if you have a cyst or something else that might be pressing on part of the pudendal nerve ?

Yes, sometimes a Tarlov cyst doesn't trigger a Pgad !
It depends on the location and the nerve root. The pudendal nerve is large and goes to many places.
You are one. Male, as I understand it ?
Perhaps you have pelvic/pudendal neuralgia ?

Or perhaps you have pelvic neuralgia or peripheral neuropathy ?

You'd have to do an EMG (Electrophysiology Perineal /Pudendal) like I did.
This examination will reveal which nerve is affected (injured) !

It's not a very pleasant examination, as the doctor sticks little needles in and sends little pulses of electric current. But it has to be done to try and find the problem

For me, the urologist/neurologist specialist found some small problems. Neurological damage to certain nerves in the pelvic/genital area and to the S3 root.

In Nantes I believe they specialize in pelvic and pudendal neuralgia and genital varicose veins?

Surely there are good specialists in Paris and other cities !

There are some very good neurosurgeons in France, as there are in your countries. But they need to have a thorough knowledge of the pelvic/pudendal area and also of the dorsal spine.

Sure.tommorow i have the procedures and i will update all.Yes i am a male ( got pgad after Zoloft stopping but all my hormons are ok , Goldstein told me what tests to do )....i live in Romania and i have a big pelvic floor dysfunction .i had Emg done and pudendal is ok but muscles are not.I think Pelvic flood and Zoloft both contributed to my Pgad.Talk to you in few / several days.Gluck

Need some help.

I have had pgad since October. I have not yet been to a specialist because the waiting times are so long. I then started with oxacepam. 1 per day and regularly 2 per day. I noticed that this made it better. I stopped taking it after 6 weeks because I didn't want to become addicted. the pgad remained calm, no more strange feeling after urinating, so I was happy.

but after a few days I started getting tingling in my feet and legs. I also often got goosebumps on my body without feeling cold. then I also started to feel tingling on my outer labia. I still have this after 2 weeks and I am now worried whether it will go away. it is not there all day, but it is there for a large part. it also often feels warm there.

I go to pelvic floor physio and acupuncture. I thought it helped with the excited feeling. Now I'm afraid that something has been done to cause the tingling or it could be that I stop the oxacepam all at once. I get quite up set with it.

You can have withdrawal symptoms when discontinuing a benzodiazepine such as oxacepam but I'm not sure about tingling. This site lists some of the possible symptoms. https://americanaddictioncenters.org/be ... withdrawal
You could check with your pharmacist or physician to see if tingling is one of the possible withdrawal symptoms.
