Rectal exam

Hi I just went to a new doctor and he palpated along the distribution of pudendal nerve vaginally and rectally. I have never had rectal pain but it’s been 2 days and rectal area is really sore. Is this normal after this or can the doctor have now caused issues rectally by palpitating the nerve there?

Hi Melgator,

That sounds perfectly normal to me. After an exam, I am often in pain for a couple of days. Are you feeling any better now?
