Hi Ynnebp,
I live in Montreal and have similar problems as you have. Would like to know how you are doing now with the PT? Did you do the ganglion impair block? Hope you are getting better and if your PT is helpful, may I get her name please? Thanks!

Hi Still fullofhope,
Sorry I did not open my account for a while. I had significant improvement from PT and at one time I was at 80-90% better. I had so many trigger points before (majority were resolved) and my tailbone is much better now. However, for the last few weeks I had flare ups that I couldn't figure out what's causing it. Right now, it is apparent that my problem is in the Ischial Spine down to my pubic bone arch and perineum. As I've mentioned before, I no longer take medicines as these did not work for me. The only thing I'm trying to avoid is my anxiety level to go up, this will exacerbate the pain. I am seeing my PT every 3 weeks for the past few months, But i think I need to go back every week. I will try to contact Dr. Andrew for shockwave therapy it seems that a lot of people got better with his treatment. It is very important to talk to a medical practitioner who has knowledge of this type of pelvic problem. I am very frustrated that no medical doctors can tell me of what's going on with my pelvic pain. If you need more info or share some of your treatment please let me know. Hope you get better.

Hi,Ynnebe
It sounds like our issues are fairly similar based on your description...
You asked about Dr. Andrew in Ottawa.. I had the Pudendal Protocol Shockwave treatment with him about 4 weeks ago.
I can answer questions if you're interested.
It's not a magic bullet,, I am in the recuperation phase at the moment, and about to try resuming the things I did before the treatment based on what the Dr. advises.
I can tell you that Dr Andrew is one of the most knowledgeable and caring practitioners regarding pelvic pain, that I've met in years of suffering from pain with sitting, bladder issues and various aspects of pelvic floor dysfunction, and seeing load of practitioners.
BTW I was not cyclist or weight lifter, or athlete, but a mom of 3 kids.. My first major symptoms didn't emerge until my youngest was 6, so I can't really attribute it to childbirth. My labor/ births were pretty textbook. (not out of the ordinary). Dr. Andrew says that at some point something becomes "the straw that breaks the camels back" etc. and pelvic pain occurs.
We live in NJ about 7 hours south and we drove up. I spent 4 days getting shockwaved. It's not ideal to do it several days in a row but out of town patients have to do take advantage of the time they are there. I ha
I can't speak for my results just yet but I can tell you more about it if interested. Is there anyone who can drive you up there? A flight would be short, but hard if you have sitting issues like me.
Konedog4 did very well with this treatment.. He worked very hard to get well.He tells his story on this site.
I will add you to my prayers..I pray for all who suffer from this!
Good Luck,
Kathy D.
