Cigna insurance

Has anyone been able to get Cigna to cover Botox?

I appealed and they still deny it

I never had Botox but I did appeal my PNE surgery to Cigna and they didn't pay for it. I ended up paying for it myself. What they wanted was peer-reviewed literature -- at least 2-3 articles that showed that the TIR approach was an effective treatment for the diagnosis. At the time Bautrant was the only one who had published on it. Were you able to find several articles confirming that Botox is effective for pelvic pain?

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
