Dear all,
I am a 35 years old man that has been suffering for 15 years of chronic pelvic pain. It all started with a prostatitis, then it worsened with pelvic floor issues (tightening of the muscles) and then it ended up in pudendal neuralgia. It is not clear if there is entraprment or not and I have seen, just like most of you, dozens of doctors and specialists who did not agree neither on the diagnostics nor on the treatment. The only thing that helped me over the years were Rivotril and gentle osteopathic traeatment. Looking at your reviews, I am quite scared of possible flare-ups of nerve blocks, not to mention the surgery. I am then exploring any kind of medical advance available, from new drugs (I have just started palmitoylethanolamide-PEA) to new and not too much invasive treatment.
I know that the treatment I have looked at may be compared to the nerve blocks, but the rationale behind seems to me quite different (healing versus just blocking the pain). Has anyone of you experienced the transperineal injections of autologous adipose tissue with stem cells along the Alcock's canal? This is the research I found: https://academic.oup.com/painmedicine/a ... 75/2460563
From the results of a recent congress held in Italy, it seems that they have improved both the technique and the results (pagg.4-6 here, sorry but I was able to find this just in Italian: https://www.researchgate.net/publicatio ... co_cronico)
Any feeback/experience with this team or this technique?
Thanks in advance!
Marco

There are people who have posted about stem cell treatments on this forum but I don't know if they were autologous adipose tissue. Since I don't read Italian can you say if the article lists any adverse side effects or risks from the treatment?

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

In the article in Italian they do not mention any side effects and they underline that there is a safe procedure which could be repeated

I can understand why you would prefer healing to just masking the pain. Is this something you would be having done in Italy? If there aren't any side effects or risks I guess there isn't a lot to lose by trying it -- unless your insurance won't pay for it then you would be out of a bunch of money.

Thanks Violet! The issue is that I am Italian but I live abroad. Frankly I do not know how much that would cost. It would be interesting also to know if there are similar experiences worldwide.Violet M wrote:I can understand why you would prefer healing to just masking the pain. Sorry, I wish I could give you more information about it. Hopefully someone will reply who has tried it.

I just learned R3 Stem Cell in Arizona is offering it, possibly as part of a clinical trial, which would mean it's free. Not certain though. The website says it's an IRB approved protocol, which sounds like it's not FDA approved and could be a clinical trial.
Left testicle pain since 2008. Left sciatica 2010-2012. Failed left epididectomy, orchiectomy, botox injections, nerve blocks and internal physical therapy. Genital branch of genitofemoral and perineal branch of pudendal nerve cut. L5-S1 microdiscectomy cured sciatica. Dorsal Root Ganglion nerve stimulator failed to help and was removed. I have had 4 pudendal nerve blocks, two from Dr. Poree worked for 2 hrs. The ONLY break from pain ever.
