Idea for a cushion

Post by gjones »

This works for me. I've tried many expensive cushions but this is the best for me.
1. Buy a 4" Putnams pressure relief cushion.
2. Take it out of its cover.
3. Trace the outline of your toilet seat inner aperture on a piece of paper.
4. Transfer the outline to the surface of the Putnam's cushion, around the middle of the cushion.
5. Cut out the aperture with a long sharp kitchen knife. This can be a bit messy but it you're careful it's not too difficult.
6. Put the cushion back in its cover.
7. Sit on it.

It works very well for me but if it doesn't work for you, not that much money is wasted because the cushion is only about £30, including the washable cover. With the cover on , the big hole in the middle of the cushion is not immediately obvious to the casual observer. The cushion is about 42 cm square, so it's quite large to carry around but it's not heavy. You can use a large shopping bag or a baby item rucksack .

Try this at your own risk-but there's not much to lose!
