Seeking info about neuromodulator and experience

Post by Hopeitworks »

I am reaching out to everyone that has experience with Neuromodulators. My doctor is recommending I try it. I don't know which type he wants me to try (I asked and he didn't give me a specific type) I don't have any problems with my bladder, but I do have PGAD and Pudendal Neuralgia. If anyone has information and is willing to share their experience of the pros and cons of the modulator it would really help me. Please include the type of modulator you had or have and if it helped your symptoms. If someone knows the different types of neuromodulator that would really help me too.

Thank you in advance Hope.

Didn't you say your physician wouldn't refer you for PT? I'm trying to understand why your physician would recommend an invasive procedure that just masks the symptoms (if you are lucky) when you haven't had a PT evaluation yet. That sounds a little unusual to me. Can you get a second opinion?

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

Yes, my physician said no PT. I realize none of this makes sense. Currently, I am waiting to hear back from an interventional radiologist who requested to look at images of both MRI's. He should be calling me one day this week. I also had a phone consult with Conway and it went well. I am just gathering information and opinions and then I will make a decision.

Sounds like a good strategy. :)
