PN and aching legs.
Does anyone else get these symptoms?
Re: PN and aching legs.
Just on one side -- the side of the pudendal nerve entrapment. It was due to sciatica from the piriformis muscle being in spasm.
Do you have restless leg syndrome along with the aching?

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

I'm not sure I have never had it diagnosed. But my legs go on runs where they are extremely achey. Like as if I've been on my feet all day when I haven't. It also makes it hard to sleep at night
Re: PN and aching legs.
Restless leg syndrome typically feels like you constantly need to move your legs. You may want to see a neurologist, cardiovascular specialist, and pelvic physical therapist to rule out things like cardiovascular disease, piriformis syndrome, or nerve disease. Sounds like you still need a proper diagnosis. Your GP can probably do a preliminary exam and tell you which kind of specialist would make the most sense.

Re: PN and aching legs.
Thanks for your help Violet. I have some sort of nerve test set up in about 3 weeks. I will say though I am suffering from Sciatica right now down my right leg due to Hip Bursitis. The pain though radiates from my lower back and over my right but cheek to my hip. Sometimes unbearable. I remember being younger and having similar aches like these in my legs and my parents would tell me they are growing pains. The funny thing about it is that the leg aches come in waves for one month I can be just fine and then boom one month they are constantly aching. These achy legs though often come with problems from the pelvic floor area.
Re: PN and aching legs.
I had numbness and aching in one leg from piriformis syndrome -- the muscle was pressing on the sciatic nerve. Trying to figure out the source of all the pains is truly a puzzle. Good luck as you figure this out.

hello,
Yes, my legs ached so bad if I sat for more than 10 minutes! However, they got better after my PalinGen stem cell Allograft treatments per DR. Jarnagin in Franklin, TN at the Center for Pelvic Health. (a women's clinic) I also found out I had hip issues after my PN issues were resolved, so you may need to have a CT of hips or MRI...many hip issues won't show up on regular MRI though. Took me 2 yrs to convince a DR to do the dye MRI which led to getting my hip fixed. I'm 6 weeks post-op from a hip reconstruction today. Achy legs are extremely hard to live with! I will pray for you. Don't give up though because my ordeal is coming to an end and yours will too someday! Keep pursuing the right Dr.

Re: PN and aching legs.
Update here: never went to see the neurologist however I had MRI's done and a Tumor was found almost at the Illiac Crest growing between my Gluteus Medius and Gluteus Minimus Quite large. The tumor after causing me great stress was found to be benign however a very rare tumor know as a Desmoid Tumor. I have surgery this upcoming week to remove it. However I will say this would definitely cause the right leg to ache but my left leg continues to ache as well. I know the tumor is Def. putting pressure on there but is this enough to cause the aching of my left leg as well?
Re: PN and aching legs.
Wow, sorry to hear you have this tumor but it's good news that it's benign. Just goes to show why everyone with pelvic pain needs an MRI.
I can't say for sure why you would have aching in the other side too although it's possible that due to the tumor your pelvic muscles are out of balance and the other side is compensating if you have some pelvic misalignment due to the tumor. If those muscles are compensating on the left side it could be putting some pressure on the sciatic nerve.
Wishing you all the best with your surgery and a swift recovery. I would be very interested to hear how it goes for you and hope to hear some good news from you soon!
