Vaginal birth with PN
Vaginal birth with PN
I'm expecting twins in October, my first pregnancy. I very much would love to have a vaginal delivery. I've suffered with PNE for over 8 years and its actually gotten somewhat worse since getting pregnant. I'm using a high risk MFM group and my doctor is willing to do a vaginal delivery, and even feels there's no reason not to, if everything continues to go smoothly. My biggest fear has always been having to have a c section so I was very happy to hear my doctor is willing to do a vaginal delivery, he's done it before with others in my situation and said it went well. I know most PN specialists say to have a c section as do patients but I would love to know if there's anyone who had a vaginal delivery with PN and if they were ok/not worse off afterwards.

Re: Vaginal birth with PN
I only know of one user called "ozagnes" on TMS forums, she also had PN pain and had a child via c section... hmm..ok I haven't really found anyone with normal delivery
..I am just curious how on earth you went from a diagnosis of vestibulitis to PN !!!! Did you develop nerve pain after the surgery ?
here's what she posted, you can find it below

tiny bartholin infection triggered vulvar nerve pain.
Diagnosed vulvodynia Sept '13 (no burning but electric shocks, paresthesia, aching, buzzing)
Feb 14- Taking 50 mg Ami/Elavil
May 14-pain free with 50 mg Amitriptyline and 300 mg Pregabalin. Back to normal
Dec 15- weaned off all medication, pain free, wearing skinny jeans
April 17- pain returned, Amitriptyline 50 mg. Something doesn't make sense in my diagnosis.
Currently treating depression and anxiety
