Constipation relief??

Post by Melly »

What do you do for constipation? Is there anything natural? Does constipation arise because of PN or is it the anxiety that we get worrying about our pain that does it?

I use a cap full of 'Lactulose' every evening. Usually helps.

Not sure on the causes, albeit I have my suspicion that a variety of our issues causes it. Tight pelvic floor, medicines, stress, etc. I think the pudendal nerve had some function to bowel & bladder movements, so it would stand to reason that those functions would suffer as the nerve is irritated... Bit that is pure guesswork...

Melly, there are lots of ideas at the following link that might help with managing constipation. http://www.pudendalhope.info/node/32

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
