Did you get Painkillers?

I have been on Pregabalin for nearly three years & Tapentadol for nearly two. I didnt think they helped until I stopped taking them & I swiftly found that they do. Albeit, not enough. Tapentadol is a 'controlled' medication in the U.K. & Im told is quite expensive. I am not sure how things work with medication in other parts of the world.

I'm in the same situation like you - "i don't think they help anymore", but i really don't know how I would feel when i cancel the medication... Maybe I'm on the right way!

Did you get Gabapentin before Pregabalin? And what about antidepressants?

I think I tried Gabapentin but they did not help at all. I tried Amitriptyline & Cymbalta anti depressants. I think both had adverse side effects & I stopped taking them. I may have another chat with my pain management clinic about Desipramine when my next appointment comes through. I was watching a lecture from Stanford on YouTube about nerve pain & the doctor was very positive about Desipramine as an anti depressant for nerve pain.
