Severe pressure feeling

Post by Grammy »

Has anyone always have the feeling that feels like the pelvic floor needs to be pulled up. I have the feeling of vaginal pressure and it bothers me more than the pain. I can not wear a pessary or tampon due to all the scar tissue. I am constantly putting lidocaine or vagisil in the area. Thinking of trying shots again. Please respond if you have any ideas

Grammy, I think the answer depends on whether you really have structures pressing on the pelvic floor or stretching the pelvic floor downward (prolapses) or whether it is the nerve playing tricks on you and making you feel something that doesn't exist. Do you know which it is?

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

The ob gyn doctor does not feel I have a prolapse however I can actually feel the entire pelvis move inward if I bend over. You can hear air coming out of the vagina when I stand back up. Got no strength ever since the first surgery in 1994. This feeling whether or not it is real, is literally driving me crazy! Thinking of an scs just to mask this feeling. I hate it...it consumes all my energy. Standing or walking just makes it so much worse. This feeling makes me extremely anxious. This summer my husband needed a wheelchair and I needed to lift the chair. Don't know if I injured the nerve by that activity.

Maybe you could try wearing thigh shapers to give the pelvis and pelvic floor more support. (Lots of different styles and brands on Amazon). Works better than anything else for me and if you get the right brand they give you a nice smooth look if you wear leggings or knit pants.
