PN & medical marijuna

My best friend is the Director of Radiology at a local hospital. He has been helping me as best he can deal with my PN. He discussed my situation with a Neurologist yesterday. After hearing all the stuff I've tried, he suggested checking into Medical Marijuana? Has anyone else checked in to this? Is so, did it help with the chronic pain? Have you tried it? Is it in the form of a pill? Any one have any words of wisdom?
