This has probably been addressed, but I am in so much pain I didn't take the time to read all of them. Please help as soon as possible.
Herein lies the problem: I have been on Oxycodone 7.5mg two (2) twice a day for about two months. Prior to that I had been taking two (2) 5mg twice a day. (We were planning a long trip and the medication was increased then). I have been taking 5mg for about 2-3 years.
I also take amitriptylin 50mg at bedtime, 150mg of sertraline mornings, 600mg of Gabapentin three times a day. I have been weaned of clonazepam from 2mg to now .025mg one twice a day.
My pains were severe my doctor perscribed Ambien 5mg one or two at bedtime. This last week I have been taking two because that is the only way I sleep.
Hence the problem. I weaned myself off Oxycodone. The last dosage was Sunday October 25th. This is the tenth day. I had read that the pains would intensify when the medication was stopped. My pains are horrendous, and I did it without the aid or order from my doctor. Later, I read that a physician should guide this withdrawal, and my appointment.
I have made an unscheduled appointment to my pain doc for today. Has anyone ever done this or are you taking some pain pills? I didn't think the medication for neurological pain. Maybe the things I read were wrong. I would rather ask someone who KNOWS this type of pain.

It is almost 3:00am Tuesday morning. I can't sleep due to pain. I have taken the allotted amount of pain medication and neurontin. I hurt so much I can hardly stand to take the next step. I had a steroid injection last Thursday. Does anyone know anything I can add to the pelvic floor specialist and exercise? Please. please, help.

You might want to use the search bar in the upper right corner to do a search on Cora's posts. I remember she had weaned off of narcotics but in the end figured out that suboxone with buprenorphine has worked well for her on a long-term basis.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

How quickly did you wean down off the Oxycodone? It seems like you may have decreased other meds at the same time as well? I know it can take a while for physically and psychologically to adjust to not having the medication. You can search this forum and see what others have said about withdrawal. If your doctor is not available you could also call your pharmacist as he or she can probably advise about withdrawal symptoms and duration too.

PN started 2004 from fall. Surgery with Filler Nov. 2006, Dr. Campbell April 2007. Pain decreased by 85% in 2008 (rectal and sitting pain resolved completely), pain returned in 12/13. Pain reduced significantly beginning around 11/23.
