Through my PN journey I have had to look through Medical School anatomy books to try and describe my pain, I have worked with my Dr. To accurately document my symptoms.
But I hope that this can help people to better understand the pain.
I will try to update this post with better descriptions of where the branches are
Symptoms as located on the pudendal nerve branch:
Inferior rectal branch(Left):
• Seeping incontinence
• Functional/ motility anomaly with external anal sphincter
• Debilitating overall left side groin pain
• Pain prior to bowel movements.
• Unable to completely empty bowels. Sometimes needing irrigation on a daily basis. This appears to be both visceral hypersensitivity and motility dysfunction.
• Visceral hypersensitivity symptoms.
Perineal branch:
Posterior scrotal branch
• Cutaneous dysesthesia: Moderate to severe burning on the scrotum constantly present. Can escalate to debilitating pain.
• Hypoesthesia on the genitals.
• Trichotillomania on the Genitals
bulbous spongiosum /eurogential diaphragm
• Shooting pain during voiding of the bladder pain radiating from the base of the genitals into the kidneys.
• Pain during ejaculation/orgasam radiating from the body towards the genitals.
Pudendal dorsal nerve:
• Sporadic non-localized pain along terminal distal portion of the nerve.
• unwanted erections/genital stimulation from pain or normal clothing friction.
• Dysesthesia in Crus of the penis having continuity with the corpus cavernosum / and ischiocavernosus (fealing of foreign object)
