Were you taking any drug like the antiepileptics or opioids, etc for your condition, and then discontinue abruptly? I had an episode of constant calf twitching after doing so from tramadol.

No, it's not normal to have muscle spasms all over the body. People with PN generally get spasms in the pelvic area.

Some drugs can cause a condition called dystonia -- amitriptyline is one of them.

Did you have other conditions such as multiple sclerosis ruled out?

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
