EMG on the pudendal nerves

Post by Jules1967 »

Question: I had the pudendal EMG last week and it has shown problems with the pudendal nerve on both sides. This test does confirm it is PN right? I have been told it is by many docs but I am assuming this EMG has confirmed it??

Jules, it may show a problem with the conduction of the pudendal nerves but it won't necessarily tell you what's causing the problem. http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/2094544-overview
No test is completely accurate for pudendal nerve entrapment.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
