Alcohol injections
Alcohol injections
Does anyone know of anyone who has had alcohol injections to the pudendal area?
Re: Alcohol injections
The only person I remember posting on the PN forums was a guy whose wife had tailbone pain and she had a successful ganglion impar injection without phenol but it didn't last very long so eventually she went for the one with phenol and it lasted much longer. Phenol is neurodestructive so it does damage the nerve and you could be incontinent if you had it to the main trunk of the pudendal nerve or the inferior rectal branch. You can see my article in the HOPE January 2014 newsletter for references to articles if you want.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
