Hopeman, you can have as many blocks as your doctor will give you but Prof. Robert recommends no more than a series of 3 steroid blocks due to the risk of nerve damage. The reference to his statement can be found in the nerve block article I wrote in the January 2014 newsletter.

If you are talking about epidural nerve blocks, personally I would not have ANY steroid epidural blocks because of the risk of arachnoiditis. I've known people who have arachnoiditis and it is even less treatable than PNE.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
