Lyrica - increase in back muscle pain?? anyone?

Post by deBBieW »

Just curious did anyone experience an increase in muscle pain, especially in their back while taking Lyrica? I don't have the best spine... haha. I have had a few flares of the sciatic nerve over the past 25 years. But I can't seem to shake this achy back feeling. Its so stiff- can be mid back, low back, sacral area. sometimes it feels like my spine has a stick stuck in it. I get a massage - no difference, hot tub - no difference, and usually I wake up with it. It's so annoying. Ibuprofen helps sometimes, if I take at least 3... but lately that doesnt help much.
I started thinking when did this pain increase?? I increased my Lyrica to 300 mg around Apr 8th, and then up to 400 mg per day on Apr 22....
This back ache thing started kicking in before 4/22, but I'm not sure.... but maybe there is a correlation?

Anyone else experience this? I'm also on gabapentin - 1800 - the intention was to decrease, get off gaba, and on Lyrica.
I havent had any other side effects really, maybe some tiredness, but not bad. I don't think it's made much difference in PN pain relief, but its hard to tell, my pain is so up and down.

please let me know your experiences, thanks.
