Oh, yes! Those are the same guidelines I got six weeks after my surgery. Great you were able to scan it! I ended up hand-typing it somewhere (under Surgery?).
Best,

Hi was just wondering how you are getting on post surgery and if our have quality of life back? I had the same surgery 10 weeks ago and life and pain is eratic to say the least!! Does it get easier as desperate to function again and return to work?
Thanks and take care

Hi PP.
I had my surgery a couple of years ago. It was very helpful for reducing some of my symptoms, but I have Tarlov Cyst Disease, which affects the same nerve (and more!).
Recovery from decompression surgery was difficult with all of the ups and downs, and the restrictions. But it really does get easier as time goes on!
I'm probably not the best person to ask about function and quality of life. I'm no longer entrapped, but still have PN, in addition to neuropathies in the lower extremities.
However, the "PN pain" is still better for me than it was prior to surgery.
At 10 weeks, are you still having numbness in the private parts and/or buttocks?
I wish you the very best with your recovery!
Hugs,
Karyn

I know 10 weeks feels like forever, you are just getting into the real healing phase now, nerves heal SLOW and it is normal to feel like little electric shocks or shoting pain that goes away, that is the nerves slowly repairing itself. When you feel those be happy .Positivepoppy wrote:Hi was just wondering how you are getting on post surgery and if our have quality of life back? Have you been cleared to try any PT? That helped me allot,. they can ultrasound and laser the area to help the healing process.
My TG surgery took 3 months to get back to work 3 days a week working 10 hour days.
