I started PT about 10-12 weeks post-op. Don't remember exactly. I've been going to my PT for about 4 years. I've got other problems besides PNE that have complicated my recover. I will probably always need to work with a pelvic floor PT because of muscle spasms and I have Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. You should never be bruised!

I agree bruising and major pains are more than you should stand. I bruises easily in general but not from PT(clumsy when tired hitting a corner of a table or something). Anyway I had PT from 8-10 weeks post op of my left TG surgery May 2011 through Nov 2013. A few times I had some major flares from PT but they said that was not correct. I think it a took a couple times to determine the cause and then for internal work the had to basically not go too deep. Otherwise PT was usually very positive and helpful for my recovery. Find the right PT to help.

2007-08 pelvic muscles spasms treated by EGS. 6/27/10 sat too long on hard chair- spasms, EGS not work Botox help, cortisone shots in coccyx help, still pain, PT found PNE & sent me to Dr Marvel nerve blocks & MRN, TG left surgery 5/9/11. I have chronic bunion pain surgery at age 21. TG gave me back enough sitting to keep my job & join in some social activities. I wish the best to everyone! 2019 luck with orthotics from pedorthist & great PT allowing me to get off oxycodone.
