Hi Everyoon
In my research I noticed that someone on this site made a comment that PN suffers should not take opiates as it "causes Pelvic congestion". I have NEVER heard that before, nor has any pain doc Ive met and there have been quite a few.
All pain docs that Ive heard of from the best to the not so great.. Rx opiates for this horrible condition if needed. In some cases they are necessary for folks to have a life.
None of us want to take them.
'Im asking cause Pelvic varicosities in the area of the PN showed up on my MRIs, but interestingly long before I took any opiates for pain. No one knew the cause of the varicosities and whether they were just an anatomical finding.
I know that many other folks have pelvic varicosties too..
Has anyone else heard of this comment regarding pelvic congestion syndrome and opiates? Every day you hear something different and scary.. so I try to take it with a grain of salt unless there is proof.
Hope this is not the case..
WE all hear different things.. and much of it is unproven.
Thanks for any info from moderators or those with much experience or knowledge.
pelvic congestion and opiates?
Re: pelvic congestion and opiates?
I had varicoceles way before I rook any opiates. I highly doubt its the opiates. I know that they can cause constipation, but not congestion.
Re: pelvic congestion and opiates?
