To go or not to go...

Post by MrsChad »

Just a quick synopsis and a question. I had a full hysterectomy in September and have had pain since that has been diagnosed as PNE. Treatment prescribed is nerve blocks and physical therapy. Both of these are expensive and time consuming. My question; is PT worth the money and time or will I just get better eventually on my own and I can keep my money and not drive myself crazy?

Edited to add a welcome to you and sorry you are having jssues. From my experience PT said they could not help once they realized my two main ligaments were so tight and they felt the Pundendal nerve was entrapped. They sent me on for official PNE diagnosis by Dr Marvel and PT said if I had decompression surgery they could ( and did) help me with recovery. From what I have heard I do not think PNE goes away on its own. I am sure others will give you their experience and advice so you may want to get some more if before making a decision.

2007-08 pelvic muscles spasms treated by EGS. 6/27/10 sat too long on hard chair- spasms, EGS not work Botox help, cortisone shots in coccyx help, still pain, PT found PNE & sent me to Dr Marvel nerve blocks & MRN, TG left surgery 5/9/11. I have chronic bunion pain surgery at age 21. TG gave me back enough sitting to keep my job & join in some social activities. I wish the best to everyone! 2019 luck with orthotics from pedorthist & great PT allowing me to get off oxycodone.

Thanks Janet. I had a VERY painful day yesterday which has me running back to my PT. God answered my question with an emphatic GO BACK TO YOUR PT and stop fussing. Thank you for your reply. I hope you are doing well. I am going to give PT a try for a few months to see if they can affect any improvement. Blessings to you!

I wish you well, if they are helping hopefully they are the answer for you. Better less painful days for all.
