Cymbalta generic

Post by Dave »

Fyi, Cymbalta is now available as a generic. This should cut down on medication costs.

Dave, I take 90 mg of duoxoline, generic for cymbalta. It is just under $100.00 that I am paying. I take a 60 and 30.per day. It should go much cheaper in 6 months or so. I googled the drug and it said that effexor would be a good alternative. That would be about $13.00. Have to talk to my shrink before I can switch.
Surgery Jan.05 2011 TG with Dr Antalok. Dr.Chambi May of 2012 showed injury from a fall on back, 11 years ago. My piriformis muscle caused a large amount of fibrosis .My sciatic nerve was growing through the piriformis muscle which caused a bifid p.muscle. . Dr Chambi decompressed the sciatic, pudendal, pfcn ,and peroneal nerves. I hope to have a nuerostimulator put in to help with the sciatic pain that never goes away. Most days are better with the pudendal if I do not sit at all.

Just as an FYI:

Effexor and Savella are the two other drugs in the SNRI class. But they don't all work for pain equally as well for everyone. If Cymbalta is working well for you, another SNRI might not work as well. But just the same, another could work better.
