I emailed the D'amato who does this Calmare threapy in Rhode Isalnd sent him my MRI Report too, and he emailed me back within in a few hours this was his repsonse.
Dear Alisa:
I have reviewed your MRI results and it seems that your are suffering from Pudendal Neuropathy. It is also quite clear that you have considerable scar tissue in your pelvis that is entrapping pudenal branches in the pelvis. I have treated successfully with Scrambler Therapy "Pudenal Neuropathy". Whether your case will respond to this therapy will be determinable by three treatment sessions. Certainly more surgery can result in more scar tissue formation and I would suggest a trial of this therapy before any other type therapy that is invasive. The only thing I can assure you of is that this therapy will do you no harm and is in itself not painful.
I would be happy to treat you on a trial basis of only three treatments and if you find that it is relieving you pain syndrome then you can make a commitment for the ten treatment sessions that is the recommended course of treatment. So far this has worked well for many patients because in cases like yours only a trial on the device will decide if your condition is responsive to "cerebral communication non-pain therapy" utilizing the MC-5A Scrambler Therapy device.
If you would like to proceed with a therapeutic trial I suggest starting on a Wednesday and we can do three consecutive days. If you are a responder then we continue the ten day regimen starting the following Monday. The weekend off therapy will help you decide if the three sessions were helping you. If not, we discontinue the sessions .
If this is agreeable please contact Alicia at 401-270-7077 to set up the trial.
Thank you for considering CALMARx for your
chronic pain. I look forward to being the Medical Doctor that brought comfort and pain relief back into your life.
Sincerely,
Dr D

I don't know anything about him, but I like his communication, and he does not seem to be trying to push his treatment idea.
He leaves you an out.
How much does he charge? Does he take ins?
Would it be a long trip for you ( not that it matters, i know when we are in pain we will go great lengths to get relief)
Hope you are feeling better, I would love to see you take a break form the site and the interent for 24 hrs and just your mind stop searching and relax.....if that is possible, my thoughts are with you.

...so for your three trial sessions, will you have to pay $600?...even if you're not satisifed with the effect?...

I have an appointment on August 26, 2013. I will post my progress.
Progress. While at Calmar clinic, I responded well to treatment. Unfortunately, the effectiveness declined rapidly and I am back to square one. Trying cryablation next with Dr Prologo in Cleveland 2nd week of October. Hoping for relief.

Completed 2 weeks of Calmar therapy with Dr D'Amato. Kind, compassionate man and staff. I was able to zero out my pain in therapy, but continue to have pain, although hot at the same intense level. I am totally off Lorezepam. I still have a concern that I am entrapped somewhere on my right side. I have had 3 blocks with no relief. Finding more hope and joy, but still disabled.

Glad to hear you had some improvements at least. Every little bit helps, eh?

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

I came across this website by accident the other day - there is a clinic in Illinois too
http://www.sperotherapyillinois.com/faq.html
Under their FAQs, they list pudendal pain..... but if you are on gabapentin, lyrica etc., it may not be as effective.
Ivahybrid - thanks for posting, and keep updating please.

Sorry it didn't work for you, X-Man. Hope the cryoablation helps. I would be interested to hear how it goes for you.
