Here is a study comparison of the two drugs taking cost and effectiveness into account.

My black and blue face has returned to normal. My broken ankle is healed and my legs have become much stronger. I will be seeing a spine surgeon on the 10th of July about the horrible sciatic pain that never leaves me. As soon as I get up in the morning the pain is there. So hopefully I will have surgery. I really am tired of surgeries, but I am also tired of the pain that now is worse than the pn pain.
All of my problems are caused by a fall on my back about 10 years ago . Because of the fall, the scar tissue built up and compressed all 4 of the nerves against my pelvic bone. I just know the sciatic and the pudendal were included. Don't ask about the other two because I do not remember. My pudendal pain is sort of OK as long as I do not sit. It is what it is, I do not expect to be able to sit comfortably ever again. :twisted.
We have a community choir in town that I joined. We sit to practice.. I love the people and the choir. I just do not know if I will be able to continue with them because of the sitting. We have two
Performances coming up. Last week I just got up and stood at the end of the row. There is no way of explaining this to them.
I had a colons copy last week. I told him about pn.. This was when I was on the table before he started. I rattled on about it . I told him it is about the nerves bowel and bladder. He was quiet ,and I said" maybe you don't like me telling you this. ' He said,no it is OK. I told him I tell every Dr I see about this because Drs know nothing about this, well he didn't ask me about it later. So what does that tell you.
Surgery Jan.05 2011 TG with Dr Antalok. Dr.Chambi May of 2012 showed injury from a fall on back, 11 years ago. My piriformis muscle caused a large amount of fibrosis .My sciatic nerve was growing through the piriformis muscle which caused a bifid p.muscle. . Dr Chambi decompressed the sciatic, pudendal, pfcn ,and peroneal nerves. I hope to have a nuerostimulator put in to help with the sciatic pain that never goes away. Most days are better with the pudendal if I do not sit at all.

Ellie, are you doing OK after the colonoscopy?

I'm sorry you aren't able to participate as you would like to in the choir. Most people understand what sciatica is so maybe they would be willing to set up a lounger for you although that could be embarrassing I guess. Sometimes there are no easy answers. :(

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

You are right Violet. I am going to try my very best to stay in the choir. I just have to be straight with the director. I will sit at the end of the row.
We are all seniors, they would understand. Hope you are having a great 4th :D Ellie
