PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

I have tried this medication in the form of 7 day patches. It comes in a brand called norspan and comes in 5mcg/hour, 10 and 20s.

Although its supposed to be safe and non addictive, I found it had little effect on my pain whereas the oxycodone based medications seem to help take the edge off it. It might work for some people though. I also found it very sedating compared to Targin which is a non constipating form of OxyContin.

You're right, Pafen. Different meds work for different people. I know someone who is doing very well with buprenorphine though.
