Re: Post nerve block pain HELP
I had a botox shot into my piriformis muscle and all it did was help. I would definitely have another as I had no problems at all except that the shot itself was extremely painful when the needle hit the piriformis muscle

Hello Violet,
Have you ever heard about a neuropatic pain after the Botox? Its a horrible pain and I am bedridden now. My PT says its gonna be alright because your levator ani is in shock by the needles. But i am afraid.

Eeeee...Chips. I am so sorry this happened to you. I don't recall neuropathic pain specifically from Botox injections. It sounds like yours were given into the levator ani muscle. I wonder if they hit the levator ani nerve? Are you starting to pull out of this yet, Chips?

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
