Isn't it a crazy situation when we need a very considered, or much rehearsed script just to get a prescription or help! I always seem to say the wrong thing even when it has been right. I have felt a lot more relieved now that my new pain consultant (local) actually said the words, 'the entrapment is in your pelvis' WOW!kathyd wrote:I will keep my descriptions as simple as possible when meeting new pain docs ( this week) as long term pain in pudendal areas seems to scare these guys away.
I have an appointment in early June to see a local orthopedic surgeon, it will be interesting to hear what he has to say but again what to say (in my case just to be believed) is a worry although I have been referred by the nice pain lady so he must be taking some kind of interest?
Have you tried any cognitive therapies kathy? If the problem is now exacerbated by wind up or central sensitization CS this could help. My problems have stayed in the same place and now that I know about pelvic nerves I can attribute symptoms to a certain nerve or muscle, so although I have been diagnosed with CS as the main factor for my pain, I know positively that I have none thank goodness. It seems the most likely thing to happen however and I am very grateful not to have this.
I hope that you can get onto a better level pain wise soon and off methadone completely asap.
Take care,
Helen
