Potter MRI available in Pittsburgh, PA

Post by MaryLee »

Although is has not been widely publicized, the Potter MRI has been available in Pittsburgh, PA since Nov 2011. Dr. Potter genorously gave her protocols to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's Presbyterian Hospital, so that a disabled US Army Veteran (me) didn't have to fly to NYC to have the test. It is offered on the same equipment, 3 Tesla, as the NY test. You can get in for the test right away...no waiting for months. No, she does not read the test personally, but I doubt that she is doing that in NYC now.

If you'd like to have the test in Pittsburgh, you can call radiology scheduling at 412-647-2345 (hospital main number). http://www.upmc.com/locations/hospitals ... fault.aspx

You are welcome Helen! I posted this info a long time ago but I haven't used this site since then. I only knew of two other people who had their MRI in Pittsburgh until my doctor was talking about it yesterday.

I'm going to have to get more serious about doing something about my condition so I thought I'd check in to see if there is anything new happening here. :D
