Hi all,
There is a story sweeping the village that Sunil is no longer on this forum. But there's no info on why.
I've tried sending a PM but he's not opening it.
Does anyone know why? Is he okay?
Cheers Jackson

Re: Sunil????
Hi Jackson,
He was banned from the board, only the Mods can explain that, and I am not sure they would consider it appropriate to do so. I believe he is unable to access his account to open PM's. I have his personal contact info, so if you do not have it and wish to be in touch, I can contact him and ask his permission to send it to you. Would you like me to do that?
edit - best to PM me a reminder if so, my neurontin addled brain does not always remember to return to a thread.

pelvic pain started 1985 age 14 interstitial cystitis. Refused medical care from age 17, did GREAT with self care for years.
2004 PN started gradually, disabled by 2009. Underlying cause SIJD & Tarlov cysts
improved with PT & meds: neurontin, valium, nortriptyline, propanolol. (off nortriptyline & propanolol now, yay!)
Tarlov cyst surgery with Dr. Frank Feigenbaum March 20, 2012.
Results have been excellent so far; but I won't know my final functional level for a couple of years.

Re: Sunil????
Hi,
The post from Mod 5 doesn't really reveal anything specific to the issue. And the Topic thread looks obviously edited.
This morning there was a lengthy post from a new member in defence of Sunil. I was going to let the matter rest there. But I notice now it's been deleted.
I"ve had a look at the rules link. The rules look open to a broad interpretation. Perhaps an explanation from Sunil on the forum would help members know their rights are being protected while at they same time freedom of speech and difference of opinion are maintained?
I've also been offended on one occasion by a comment about one of my posts by someone on this site. But that is a seperate issue which I may, after many monthes, take up with her via PM. Not on the forum. Although, this is an edit, now, and I don't really care to get embroiled in issues.
Finally, I don't want to enter into a discussion over this subject. So if you have a comment direct it to the moderators, please, instead of me.
Cheers.

Re: Sunil????
The lengthy thread which was deleted, to which Jackson referred, made a reference to the idea of having a special section for men's issues.
I think that was an excellent idea and might I also suggest that maybe it could be added to replace the area marked "social discussions and fun"? I don't think it would hurt to take that whole social area out. We are here as patient self advocates and we do not need to like each other to be effective, so why set up a section which might begin to highlight personality conflicts? I say this because I think the root of the issue that ultimately led to us losing Sunil, was a debate in that section. Sunil provided a lot of valuable information on this board but like I said, I think some hostilities grew up in the "social" section and then creeped into other discussions.
I have established some wonderful friendships on this board but this has been from posts moving to PM's moving to exchange of emails, phone numbers, or Facebook link-ups - not through the public "social" area of this board. It was a good idea in theory but I don't think it's served us in this case or in general.
Sunil and I have had our conflicts but I count him not only as a friend but as a valuable member of this self advocate community and I am sorry things have come to this
