Hi Guys and Girls,
I was just wondering if anyone else has lower abdomen pain and if can be part of the whole PN painscape? I just found the following somewhere on the site but I can't find it again so I have no idea who I am quoting:
"The pudendal nerve does not innervate the lower abdomen, I am pretty sure it is the iliohypogastric nerve if there is suprapubic pain."
I sometimes get a kind of cold sensation in the lower abdonmen which seems to be linked to very slight constipation and perinal/penis pain. Does anyone have any information on this?
Much love
Al

lower abdomen / suprapubic pain ???
lower abdomen / suprapubic pain ???
I'm 37. Pain started suddenly in 2005 after heavy physical work. Had a two year period without pain between 2007 and 2009. Pain came back 2010 (too much yoga) and I finally got a diagnosis. Too many cortisone shots! No long term relief.I Don’t take many meds as pain rarely goes above 3 or 4. 2mg of valium once or twice a month. Recently diagnosed with bilateral fai and labral tears. Right side hip scope in July 2013...Second left side scope planned for later in the year...

I remember saying that, but I can't remember the context.
What does your doctor think about this?

Thanks for the reply. All the doctors here contradict each other so I prefer to see what people actually suffering from PN have to say. I recently found a list of things to check before PN surgery written by the same person who offerd me an operation without checking them, so I'm giving doctors a wide birth for the moment.

Re: lower abdomen / suprapubic pain ???
Alex, some people have posted that their psoas muscle is tight which can lead to some abdominal pain. I'm not an expert on this but if you have a good PT they could tell you if yours is in spasm.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
