thank you, i had a very bad day today, burning between my tailbone and anus. I cried and all i get from my sister is this is what god gave you and you need to deal with it, even if you never find out what this is and if your lucky again it will go away again and you can get another 6-7 years of no pain. I felt hopeless and very sad.

Sunshine,

Nobody who does not have chronic pain (such as your sister) can understand what constant pain is like. Also, you can always find someone whose situation is worse than yours but that fact doesn't minimize your pain. However, pain can be controlled and that's what I would try to focus on. The doctors that the other ladies have suggested can help you minimize your suffering. We've all been in your shoes at one time or another, feeling helpless and overwhelmed by pain. Once you have made an appointment to see one of the specialists you may start to feel like you have some control over your situation. I hope things start to get better soon.

My doctor had a nifedipine anal ointment compounded for me. While I apparently am allergic to it (huge sigh,) it does work for anal spasms/tightness fairly well. I was initially given it for an anal fissure due to spasms. If you have a Colo rectal doctor they should know about its use. My pain doctor was also willing to prescribe it if needed. Sorry you are having to deal with this.
