Check out this page on the website:Leilaa wrote:... whats the use of swimming if u cant use your normal body muscles? I can b doing arm workouts
Is it bad to kick due to the pain or due to muscle and tone growth? If it doesnt hurt is it safe to swim by kicking? or max we can do is float with splashing arms?

You have to use your best judgement though since everyone is different. It it hurts, you probably should quit the activity.
We had a big discussion about body types on our old forum and in the end while it seemed like there were quite a few thin people, there were also some who considered themselves overweight. I'm thin, medium height.
Once you have sacroiliac joint dysfunction you may have to be careful the rest of your life. It depends on what's causing it. For instance in my case I had chronic ligament strain from weightlifting and Dr. Bautrant told me when he did surgery that my ligaments were hardened and sclerosed at age 47. So I know I'll have to be careful the rest of my life. The younger you are the better chance you have for recovery.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
