Sorry I have no info on this type of pain but maybe the ER is the best thing for you. I hope they can help sort it out or at least give you some relief. Good luck and hang in there!
2007-08 pelvic muscles spasms treated by EGS. 6/27/10 sat too long on hard chair- spasms, EGS not work Botox help, cortisone shots in coccyx help, still pain, PT found PNE & sent me to Dr Marvel nerve blocks & MRN, TG left surgery 5/9/11. I have chronic bunion pain surgery at age 21. TG gave me back enough sitting to keep my job & join in some social activities. I wish the best to everyone! 2019 luck with orthotics from pedorthist & great PT allowing me to get off oxycodone.

I have seen some pictures of people who have had red, blotchy and inflamed swollen areas which I think was put down to central sensitisation. I too think you should go to see someone about it. Please let us know how it goes.

CRPS maybe? I've heard of other women with similar problems. I think the main thing is to keep it from getting infected if it's peeling. You can try soaking in alternating hot/cold water with a bit of epsom salts to improve circulation and take toxins away from the area.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

CRPS is Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. I did have some pics of a sufferers hand that was swollen (very noticeably different in size to other hand) blotchy and inflamed looking. Sorry can't seem to find it now. However I doubt you will ever actually know if this was your problem, although it could have been. If it has disappeared and obviously doesn't reappear, I would tend, not dwell on it too much. Mention it to your Dr of course, they may have an answer. If it was CRPS you seem to have managed to beat it without their intervention which is excellent.
I presume you haven't had any re-occurrence?
I would imagine the flaky skin was due to any swelling and that area of skins dehydration. It does sound a bit like CRPS. Hope it doesn't return and the other problems are sorted asap too :)

Helen
