PN and Hemmorroids

Post by hauben6 »

Amazing how showing all your vulnerabilities becomes the norm.

So for 2 1/2 years, I have been dealing with PN, hip pain, SIJD, pain in the ankle (just found out that that is a normal thing win PN), IT band issues and the normal numbness etc....but now, an external hemmoroid. I have one grown child, eat healthy, no signs of constipation, bleeding and then....viola! I just did a search on pn and hemmoroids and apparently the pudenal nerve plays a part in it.

My question...Have I been chosen and blessed by just one more thing, or do I have some brothers and sisters who have also been blessed????

It's tough to remember the good ole days when I was once a freight train, now I more like Thomas the train (Cartoonish~it doesn't feel real).

I too deal with hemmys and PNE. I have constipation also. I take senna and ground flax seeds. This is a must for me. I am also a vegan so I eat plenty of whole foods and water to help with BM.

I cannot say which came first or caused but I thought hemmorroids was my problem initially because who ever heard of PNE? I do have family history (Mother and brother) so had that checked and colonoscopy due to fater's father having colon cancer but so far that was clear. I did have serious constipation but doing better with senna, fiber, miralax but cannot seem to go vegetarion let alone vegan. I do eat vegetarian for my work lunches and we eat better weekdays to balance the eating out weekends! I won't give up all and am just trying to keep up and get back to cooking during the week given my two ailments (probably sijd with PNE surgery recovery and my chronic foot pain). Good luck on your journey to treatment and less pain.

For me the PN has caused an abnormal anal sphincter muscle contraction, acording to the proctologist, this happened in conjuction with PNE.

Basicly the frot end part that pushes the stool uot does not work on the internal(front side), so only the rear set of muscles work. The extra strin of that causes the hemroids and other issues.

On the bright side physical therapy for this can include massage(iv's talked about that in some other posts about pt) and gently working the bowls to get evry things moving. Also if its a motor issue there may be no limit to PT as this is one of the few mantinance issues.
