Thanks for the detailed information! My pain sounds a bit different than yours. Its just so frustrating because I have pain that has turned into tingling and now have this pin pricking sensation. My symptoms are not exacerbated by sitting and Dr. Marvel told me I do not have PNE. Finding a diagnosis has been very difficult. But hopefully one day I will be able to figure it out and get treatment.
Hoping everyone is having a good day today! Thanks again

Re: Walking
Just my opinion Alli, but the tingling and pin pricking sensation sound like nerve issues. Not necessarily the Pudendal Nerve though.
I HOPE you don't have PN!! Maybe you just have an "irritated" nerve and it will heal with time.
I hope so.
Best wishes and less tingling,
Jackie OUCH

Re: Walking
I hope I dont have PN either!!! But I definitely think it is a nerve issue....I just need to figure out which one and what is causing it. I am currently 33 weeks pregnant and will persue a diagnosis after I give birth. January will be 18 months with this condition (which I have heard can take this long for a nerve to heal), so if I am not improved by January I will assume the nerve is not healing and I will need to maybe persue treatments.
Thank you for all of your help!

Re: Walking
I have this pain also plus major vaginal burning. I am now trying acupuncture . Has that helped anyone? My pain block only helped for about 4 days. I wish it would have lasted 4 months.
Re: Walking
Sorry, your nerve block didn't help very long, Jane. It seems like most people don't get permanent relief from nerve blocks. Acupuncture didn't help me either but I think it's worth a try at least.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

Hi Jane,
I always think acupuncture is worth a try. I tried 5-6 sessions last summer, no luck for me. Remember everyone is different. My first nerve block did nothing in terms of relief. Six weeks later the 2nd one sort of kicked in and I got rid of a lot of my vaginal pain. Then I was left with ischial tuberosity burning, stinging. I still have that, but it's much more irregular.
Hang in there,
Debbie
