Hi sunil,
Thecholestrol lowering 'statins' eg Lipitor etc. are known causes of muscle pain. I'm wondering perhaps if that could also be causing some disturbance ,too :?:

Thanks you Sunil for this very interesting thread about medications for cholesterol and HBP. I had not known of the side effects of these meds before, I have a high cholesterol level and have been trying to avoid using meds till now. I do eat well but am not a vegan or a vegetarian and do like my meat, perhaps I need to change my diet even more. I dont fancy taking statins that might make my muscular pains worse!
I have a great herbal shop near to me and maybe I will seek advice from them as to a herbal alternative to statins? Have you tried any herbal remedies?
PNE started 2003 following Vaginal Hysterectomy, pelvic floor repair and right oophorectomy; eventually after many tests had BilateralTG surgery Nantes 2004; following this tried many other treatments including 7 day epidural, ketamin infusions to no avail; Trialed and was implanted with a Neurostimulator in 2007- Dr Van Buyten Belgium, this has enabled me to manage my pain much better.

Many thanks Sunil for this advice, I am not currently under the care of a cardiologist but have had readings taken via a non medical professional. I know that my current weight is too high and I can only guess that my BMI will indicate that my cholesterol levels are not normal. I am prepared to seek alternative remedies to reduce this so as to preemt taking medications etc. I am reaching the fifties so need to take stock of my life etc.
